Ideal for school assemblies, Sonic Spaceship showcases a setlist of original music and popular remixes, recorded and performed live all with the voice. This stage and music production pairs professional level beatboxing with performance technology and gets students up on stage to record and play back their own audio samples via multiple MIDI controls and digital effects. Students will leave with a strong basis in key electronic music concepts and an unforgettable performance experience!
Activating Confidence, Radical Acceptance, and Mental Wellness through Beatboxing: Uses improvised community circle singing to drive deeper engagement with the connection between health of the voice, the individual, and the collective.
In school settings it emphasizes teaching strategies, games, and activities to increase effective neurodiversity-affirming communication in the classroom, developed with regard to CT state standards in Play-Based Learning.
Build self-confidence and effective communication skills while having fun in a collaborative, creative music project. We bring together student beatboxing, writing, and storytelling skills with contemporary live recording technology to engage students in the creative process of songwriting bolstered by culturally relevant historical lessons. Central to this program is its ability to incorporate other curricula, which students draw on for their songwriting inspiration.
